A Case Report of Maffucci´s Syndrome

Abstract
|
|
|
Maffucci´.s syndrome consists of dyschondroplasia associated with cavernous hemangiomata and phleboliths in the soft tissue.
A 10 years old girl has been suffered from the several peanut-sized nodules on the right hand and on the right foot without any contributory episode at her past history for 7 years. Her siblings are healthy; except patient and her parents healthy too. The physical finding was revealed to the multiple nodules on the above mentioned. area with mild limitation of range of motion at right fingers. The laboratory datas were within normal limit. On histologic .examination, there was found to consist of small, thin-walled capillaries which were dominated by cavernously dilated capillaries intermingled with numerous sinuous vascular spaces but the- radopacities to be seen in the X-ray picture in some cases were not produced without the calcifying thrombi.
